Still Here More or Less
If anyone is wondering if I've abandoned writing, I haven't. I'm working slowly on second drafts of a few pieces and getting my main WIP peer critiqued. I must say that I'm a bit peeved that some of my ideas that hadn't fully formed have seem to come to completion in other's minds as I see previews for next season's new tv series. But, for now. I slowly plug along. Happy writing everyone!

Writing Explosion, "Puppy Drafts", and RRW vs NRRW
What happens when I take a week off of my full time job? A writing explosion! That's what happens.
You may notice that I hardly ever post anything on my blog. Part of that is because I enjoy using my writing time to work on my current WIP, the other is that I barely have time to work on my WIP as it is. Working 45-50 hours a week makes it hard enough to find writing time, but then there's social commitments as well. I'm still trying to master balancing it all.
However with a full week of nothing to do except a few minor tasks I have been writing and writing and writing. I started out reading. Reading subconsciously teaches my brain how to write. There is a significant difference between my non-recently read writing (NRRW) and my recently-read writing(RRW.) Since I saw the pitiful existence that is my NRRW the last time I sat down to write, I picked up a book and read at least half of it.
Then I wrote like crazy. I wrote the second half of one WIP and completely restarted another. Both are now fully completed "puppy" drafts. (Rough, rough, rough. Get it?) The last few chapters of the second one (title pending) started looking like a NRRW so before I do any revisions, I need to start reading again.
So assuming that I get back to my blog at least sometime in the next week or so, I'd like to ask you readers: Do you see a RRW/NRRW difference in your work? What about in your revisions? Happy writing everyone!
